I had the pleasure and honor to talk to Daniella about her book and life, as a survivor and Freedom fighter/seeker. Author of UNCULTURED; sex-cult survivor, US Army. Group Behavior Speaker; TEDx; very advanced knitter. Veteran. Her amazing writing bring us to a fun exposition of methods of brain wash and indoctrination she prefers calling "programming" she went under the Children of God around the world, made through living in a concentration camp lacking parenting love and a proper education, in a very cheerful way she tells the horrible psychological, physical and sexual abuses suffered from earlier childhood to adolescence when she decides to leave The Family. Then the adaptation to what she was told to be the evil System and after not finding herself fit she voluntarily joined what she found out later to be just another cult against her individuality, the US Army, where she met other types of experiences and more abuse. She finally left cults and had her fun revisit to Brazil with her now real free and loving family. She shows with her story how we need a sense of community but not anything that would transgress our freedoms and rights, how we can access our human resilience when we need the most and overcome traumas and the worst difficulties and obstacles. and we chat a bit in Portuguese in the end.
